What a full circle moment for @claggettjim and his wife Janice.
A sports announcing legend here in central Alberta, Jim came with a burger plan to honour his Winnipeg roots and chose a cause near and dear to his heart @alzheimerabnwt.
Dementia impacted both Jim and Janice, both of their mothers suffered from the disease. And both speak highly of the support they received from the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories.
Did you know over 62,000 individuals in Alberta and the Northwest Territories are currently living with Alzheimer`s disease and other forms of dementia?! And cases are expected to climb sharply, with projections estimating 100,000 Albertans diagnosed by 2038 and an expected 286% increase by 2050.
Jim and his wife Janice helped us turn over $748 from his "`Peg Burger" which landed on our Red Deer menus for the month of September.
