We had the absolute privilege of handing over a $896 cheque to JJ Collett Natural Area President, Jack Surbey, along with Vic & Ben and our incredible June Guest Chef, Shane Groendahl‼️

Because of YOU, we raised $896 to help protect and maintain over 18 km of trails across 635 acres of beautiful public land‼️

We couldn’t do this without YOU. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts‼️

We`re often asked how we pick who gets to be a Guest Chef? Truth is we don`t have a formula or a system to pick. Often they are recommended to us, or suggested through a connection.

The short answer is we want to work with AMAZING people who put in the time and energy to make our community a better place. Typically these people are putting in the long hard hours behind the scenes and doing it for the betterment of the organization they serve or the community as a whole.

Mindy Smythe is exactly the kind of people we want to celebrate. The one who works hard behind the scenes supporting boards and organizations in our community, giving her time selflessly and always.

Her name has come up in many conversations, from many diverse groups. And that right there solidified our NEED to have Mindy as a Guest Chef celebrating our community.
